Professional Training Onyx experience!

2020 started with everything for JFV Sports and our athletes. One of our athletes and partners, Julio Martins, was invited by the Group Onyx Elite to the Winter camp in January in Tampa, Florida.

Onyx Elite is a pre-season program only for professional players that aims to condition them for their respective clubs, or be observed by a Head Coach or Scout for the American and European leagues. The Onyx Staff has great professionals on its team, one of whom is former player Oguchi Onyewu, ceo of the company. Oguchi best known as "Guchi" was a professional football (soccer) player, playing in two World Cups (2002-2006) for the United States, with spells for A.C. Milan, Newcastle and other major European teams. Other big names on the Staff is Chris Torres, physical trainer of elite athletes in the United States and Coach Jamie Daves of UCF (University of Central Florida) in Florida.

The goal of the camp as mentioned above is to condition the athletes both physically and technically for the 2020 season. The program is intense and dynamic. Athletes stay for 13 days in Tampa, Florida, performing workouts twice a day, taking turns between technical and physical sessions between them. One of the important points about training is the dynamism and intensity of work.

Physical training is focused on small technical details of movements that reproduce in matches, which gives the athlete a greater knowledge of the fundamentals of body mechanics of elite athletes. Ball training, on the other hand, is the most modern in tactical and technical terms in football. The focus on the small details, such as your first touch, the angle you create when you receive the ball, the intensity you pass the ball, body positioning when crossing, when defending 1vs1, and shooting the goal. These are small details that make athletes, even if elite, improve their skills.

The fact that it focuses on small details of the game in this camp is due to the high technical level of the athletes, which justifies being a methodical and intense training. Unlike a simple pre-season where athletes would just have to run and play friendlies. It aims to improve the technique and physical aspects of athletes that during the season will give them great advantage over opponents.
